About the
Intersectionality Working Group
Let's Talk LD's Intersectionality Working Group aims to:
•Engage in public service campaigns that raise awareness about and center the lived experiences of neurodivergent folx
•Advocate for systemic change designed to close equity and opportunity gaps and dismantle systems of oppression that shape outcomes for neurodivergent people (across the lifespan)
•Support our members by strengthening self-determination and self-advocacy by engaging in radical coalition- and community-building
•Develop neurodivergent leaders who are called to movement-build using a research-to-action approach that emphasizes direct and legislative action and contributes directly to the flourishing of neurodivergent people in their communities and the places they inhabit.
Our initiative will feature a comprehensive online presence with resources such as a website showcasing our members, listening sessions, body doubling events, zine production, story map development, interactive Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping and civic engagement guides.
We envision creating a space where neurodivergent individuals and their allies can connect, share experiences, access support, and actively participate in their communities. Ultimately, we strive to contribute to original research, consulting opportunities, curriculum development, job coaching, and advocacy for IEP/ITP/ISP/IPP meetings.
